Lettuce, 5 August 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

Seedlings on 5 August, most with a first spoon-shaped leaf so brightly lit it burns out to white at the middle with green surviving only along the veins, and at the left a second sowing altogether, one still hooked over with its leaf bud shut.
