Turmeric, 10 August 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

A young shoot on 10 August, four or five broad blades fanning out of a finger-thick sheathing stem with the newest still rolled into a spike, each blade running one strong pale midrib and fine parallel veins, one of them holding a row of droplets.
