Carrot, 4 September 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

Lacy foliage thin enough on 4 September to separate into individual rosettes, each fanning from its own crown at soil level with bare dark ground between them — pale ribbed stalks crowding where they converge, the upper fronds rim-lit by low sun.
