Helichrysum (Licorice Plant), 7 September 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

A sprawling plant carries two states at once on 7 September — tight rosettes of small rounded leaves felted so white the green barely shows, and along the same reddish stems a great many older ones shriveled to papery gray-brown curls — in low late light.
