Tomatillos, 5 August 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

Two fruits still sealed inside papery lantern husks on a red towel on 5 August, translucent enough to show a honeycomb of veins and five or six darker ribs running stalk to tip — and beside them two glossy gray-green spheres, one with a scrap of husk on it.
