Tomatoes, 8 August 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

Nineteen ripe fruits on a written-over paper mat on 8 August, red through the body with the shoulders still washed gold and a dry tan starburst at nearly every stem, pale rays running down from it; in the bowl beside them, one gone matte purple-brown.
