The harvest, 22 August 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

Five slim scarlet pods laid in a fan on 22 August with their green stems gathered together, the brightest thing on a plaid towel otherwise running pale green to tan. A glass pitcher stands two-thirds full of dusty-blue berries behind them.
