The harvest, 27 August 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

A thin picking laid out with wide gaps on 27 August — one purple-red bulb on a sheet of paper towel, its pale roots combed out as long again as the bulb itself, and at the bottom one flattened green fruit carrying two brown healed scars across its shoulder.
