Tomatoes, 16 September 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

Well over a hundred small fruits, washed and heaped in a galvanized colander on 16 September, run from lemon yellow through scarlet to dusky purple-brown, several dark ones still bronze-green at the shoulder. Soft light from the left beads the wet skins.
