The garden, 21 September 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

A whole picking lies in rows on white linen on 21 September, slender green and yellow pods still tipped with dried blossoms at one end, husked fruits in split papery wrappers, one green, one purple-brown. Soft ceiling light, everything damp.
