Watermelon, 11 June 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

Two watermelon seedlings sharing one planting pocket on 11 June, sprawled flat with no runner between them and the right-hand one still holding its pair of smooth seed leaves, pine-needle litter in front and the flash falling away to black beyond.
