Tomatoes, 29 June 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

A Sunray tomato on 29 June seen down through its own leaves, a pale matt globe faintly ribbed at the shoulders and still holding fine dew, its stalk and sepals furred so thickly with white hairs that they catch the sun before the fruit does.
