Chives, 9 July 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

Chives on 9 July, thirty hollow tubes rising straight from one tight crown, each round enough to carry a single highlight down its whole length and tapering to a fine point — several older ones dried pale straw and kinked over, the bases flushed purple.
