Tomatoes, 9 July 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

A Pineapple tomato on 9 July, its nodes tinged purple and every stem and leaf stiff with white hairs holding water, several of the lowest leaves gone bright yellow — the toe of a rubber boot entering at the corner, long shadows in low warm side light.
