Onions, 9 July 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

Red onions on 9 July, each fan sprawling sideways from a single point with several leaves creased where the hollow tube has collapsed in on itself — and a faint red-purple blush at the base, right where the swollen white neck meets the mix, in raking sun.
