Strawberries, 16 July 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

Strawberries on 16 July flowering in strong warm pink rather than white, dozens of blooms open above the trifoliate leaves, and beneath them the fruit setting — pale green cones studded with achenes, still wearing their withered petals, in flat light.
