Collards, 20 July 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

Young brassicas on 20 July, open rosettes of spoon-shaped blue-green leaves dulled by a waxy bloom, each tapering into a winged petiole with a broad whitish midrib, nothing heading up yet and the photographer's shadow across the frame.
