Peppers, 20 July 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

A low shrub on 20 July, its stems near-black and kinked at every node and its small leaves marbled cream over green, a few gone almost wholly white, with nodding five-lobed stars beneath them, dark at the margin and pale at the throat, and no fruit at all.
