Bean, 28 July 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

One Tavera bean caught mid-germination on 28 July, a single glossy pea-green cotyledon still the exact kidney shape of the seed it came out of, laid against the crook of its own hypocotyl where it has just broken a bed of shredded bark.
