Carrot, 30 July 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

Two seedlings caught at the moment of emergence on 30 July, one still bent double as a pale yellow loop with no leaf open, the other a pair of thread-fine straps crossed flat in an X with the seed coat at their base, on wet glistening near-black soil.
