Bay, 5 August 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

A Sweet Bay laurel on 5 August pushing a whole leading shoot of soft yellow-green out of dark matte older leaves, every one of them crimped and undulate at the margin, rain-wet under flat gray light with magenta petunia crowding in from the left.
