Kale, 5 August 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

Brassica seedlings on 5 August drawn leggy on long pale stems, their heart-shaped seed leaves thin and bright yellow-green rather than blue, two still dragging the split brown seed coat at the base and several not yet unclasped, on wet glistening compost.
