The photographs
Week of 6 JulyA citronella geranium on 9 July, mounded so far over its own pot that only a rib of the rim still shows — every leaf cut palmately and then cut again into narrow toothed segments, the blades pebbled and finely haired, dew held along all their edges.Week of 31 AugustFoliage cut into narrow finger-like segments and then crisped and ruffled along every margin on 3 September, so the whole mound reads as lace — pale hairs furring the jointed succulent stems, soft new shoots standing clear above it under flat gray light.
