Week of 1 JuneItalian Parsley on 5 June, thirty leaves in a low mound with the newest shoots at the middle a deeper green and more finely cut than the bright yellow-green outer ones, each leaflet flat and glossy and cut into a few big sharp teeth.Week of 22 JuneItalian parsley on 22 June, a rosette of a dozen flat-cut leaves in vivid yellow-green and brightest at the new center, the three or four oldest washing dull pink and bronze along their margins and lobe tips, in soft shadowless light.Week of 6 JulyItalian parsley cut and left to drain on 12 July, each leaf divided in threes and again in threes with the teeth drawn out to fine points, still beaded from the wash on a paper towel already stained green and pink by earlier produce.Week of 3 AugustItalian parsley on 5 August seen straight down so the whole rosette lies flat, every leaf split into three and each of those into three again, jagged-toothed and glossy rather than crimped, the newest at one side still pale yellow-green and faintly wet.
