Week of 13 JulySweet potato vines on 17 July mounded up out of one bag with two color forms mixed through the same crown — chartreuse lime with red veins in front, bronze-purple to near-black behind — every leaf cut into five or seven narrow lobes.Week of 7 SeptemberSweet Potatoes dug on 11 September, heaped on a paper-towel-lined plate: three snapped ends show small patches of pale orange flesh, and a thin pink root tail curls off one root and trails across the towel. Warm indoor light.
