Peppers, 23 June 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

A pepper set out on 23 June, six or seven cupped glossy leaves on one short stem flushed faintly purple at its base and a bunched cluster of new growth at the tip, rain still beaded on it, the turf around it thick with clover in flower.
