Tomatoes, 12 July 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

A young Dester tomato on 12 July, its leaflets cut almost to the midrib and softly hairy enough to read gray in the sun, standing alone in low warm side light — the photographer's own shoe intruding on the timber at the bottom corner.
