Chives, 5 August 2026

One photograph from the 2026 season.

Garlic chives on 5 August, flat keeled straps rather than round tubes, all of them rising from one crown flattened into a single plane and sprawling out of the frame in every direction with the outermost arching down onto the grass, in low evening sun.
